How can I ignore the AT&T software update?

(Update 2016-01-09: I got rid of the phone after it auto-upgraded to Android 5, so I don't have this issue anymore.)


I keep getting this message every 10 minutes or so on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (non-rooted Android 4.1.2):

How can I ignore it?

I want to skip this update as the penultimate one introduced some nasty bugs.

EDIT: Apparently I cannot kill the AT&T service:

Also, I restarted the device and the AT&T service is launched at startup.

So I tried to remove the AT&T service from the startup using Startup Cleaner 2.0, but the AT&T service still get launched...:
