In 1992, the siren icon was cropped, now only showing the upper half. Both tails were redrawn, and the green outline was made bolder. Very few locations still use this logo. This logo is currently used as a secondary logo as of March 2025.

Starbucks (second era)[]

2011–present[]

Designer:  In-house
Lippincott
Typography:  N/A
Launched:  January 5, 2011 (reveal)
March 2011 (official)

On January 5, 2011, Starbucks unveiled a new logo which omitted the ring altogether; the siren in the circle thus became the entire logo and was recolored in green as well. The logo was reported to be introduced in March to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary.

The design work was done internally at Starbucks with outside help from Lippincott. This logo won first place in the 2011 Brand New Awards.
