I was working on doing an intro for my video game with animations
But it really has nothing to do with a certain project, it is for general animation purposes

It could be my fault, but I find it very clunky to manually jump to a certain timestamp and add a keyframe with right click and selecting "add a keyframe" for example.
Describe the feature / enhancement and how it helps to overcome the problem or limitation:
It would really help if you would add a hotkey or ability to map this feature and maybe more so you can have better workflow.
Describe how your proposal will work, with code, pseudocode, mockups, and/or diagrams:
it should work just like any other hotkey already present in godot, like those that are already present for the animation editor
If this enhancement will not be used often, can it be worked around with a few lines of script?:
I think it would be used very often by people who use animation in their games
Is there a reason why this should be core and not an add-on in the asset library?:
I think a hotkey for an ability should be baseline.
