Chollima-1 (Malligyong-1 F1) [KCTV]
Chollima-1 (천리마-1), also transcribed Cheonlima-1, is a new North Korean orbital launch vehicle.
The vehicle features three stages. Stage 1 is likely derived from the Hwasong-17 ICBM and features a quadruple chamber engine on the first stage - likely two twin-chamber engines derived from the Russian RD-250, running on storable fuel (N2O4/UDMH).
The maiden launch did not reach orbit as stage 2 failed to ignite. The second vehicle also failed during stage 3 operation, possible due to a flight termination system issue.
