Parking this WIP as it's getting too involved for me to take on atm. I would like to come back to it at some point in the future as I like the general direction and think it'll result in a better UX where complex records are easier to see. For right now though it's requiring longer than I want/timeboxed for it so I'm going to park it and head back to the dynamic support work which is of more immediate value.
