It would be great if a notification could be shown to the user with a helpful message when this happens.

Currently, there is no workflow to build and test rust-related crates on the Windows platform. So there is no guarantee for making sure the compilation and functionality are working.

The idea is to stand up a dev cluster, and then compile and run our examples using the latest version from crates.io against the cluster as a test for API stability (using our current semver-like practices).
