typescript logo

TypeScript is an open source programming language developed by Microsoft and first released in 2012. It is designed to add type safety to JavaScript while conforming as closely as possible to the syntax and semantics of the ECMAScript standard.

It is a syntactical superset of the JavaScript programming language; all valid JavaScript source code is also valid TypeScript source code, but not vice-versa. TypeScript compiles (or transpiles) to JavaScript, meaning that it can be utilized to target any JavaScript environment. It can be used to develop JavaScript for both client-side and server-side applications.

I am becoming a power-user of our debugger (yeah, finally). This means that most of my "VS Code time" I have some kind of debuggee running or connected. So, I am seeing the ugly orange debug status bar treatment a lot. I don't like it and for me it's enough to see the activitybar icon decorations. So, pretty please give me an option to disable this

For me it would make a lot of sense to run check in watch mode.
I think that adding check subcommand was a great idea, and running it in watch mode would provide the best development experience (at least for me). Also if I'm not mistaken it would check further edits faster, as typescript compiler is already warmed up after the first check.

Description

First this section says:

So normally a hybrid application begins life as an AngularJS application, and it is AngularJS that processes the root template, for example, the index.html. Angular then steps into the picture when an Angular component is used somewhere in an AngularJS template. The template of that component will then be managed by Angular, and it may contain any

What problem does this feature solve?

I want to provide additional properties to a menu for example to make it better testable. This works but TS is reporting an error as the attribute 'data-test' does not exit in type ItemType.

const items: Array<ItemType> = [
    {
      key: 'exercises',
      // @ts-ignore
      'data-test': 'exercises',

Hey friends!

If you're looking for a way to contribute to storybook's codebase, i might have a few small-ish tasks most people should be able to pick up!

We're in the process of migrating away from having custom scripts to prepare out packages for publishing to npm.
We've used babel and tsc to generate a modern, esm, and cjs output (in different directories.

I'm making a client-side code editor with rudimentary Git support, and syntax highlighting for diff/patch files would be really nice - a way to view the whole diff in a single window (alternative to existing diffeditor - with similar colors to git diff console coloring), maybe would be useful for others too.

What is the problem this feature will solve?

whenever bun reads a tsconfig it doesn't understand a warning is presented, I guess that's ok if the intention is to use bun for compilation but it isn't very nice if I am simply using bun as a JS runtime.

What is the feature you are proposing to solve the problem?

A flag to disable ts processing, something like --disable-ts

Bug description

On windows, I run prisma format and note the unusual file ending. The lines are all LF, but the very last line is CRLF.

This causes issue on my Linux CI where it formats it ending in LF's only, causing a diff to occur and the build to fail.

How to reproduce

  1. On windows do prisma format
  2. Open in HxD or similar
  3. See attached:
