Based on unanimous feedback from the testers, we were able to determine that arduino/arduino-cli#1972 did indeed fix arduino/arduino-cli#1970, and that fix has now been merged in the Arduino CLI repo (but won't reach Arduino IDE until the dependency is bumped). So I will close this PR. The tester builds will remain available for some weeks to come, so continued testing is welcome. Thanks so much to everyone who helped us out with fixing this bug! |

Motivation
Arduino IDE users are being affected by an Arduino CLI panic: arduino/arduino-cli#1970
Tooling Team members have not been able to reliably reproduce the problem, so we are hoping to get assistance from the community in testing a potential fix (arduino/arduino-cli#1972). The availability of builds of Arduino IDE with the patched version of Arduino CLI bundled will facilitate that testing.
