Conditioning
The term "conditioning" refers to the washing or cleaning of an original audio carriers, the repair or replacement of its covers and any action taken to stabilize its physical conditions, thus halting or delaying its degradation.
Conditioning methods are usually not invasive. In some specific cases, however, it is necessary to use methods that do alter the internal structure of the original audio carriers irreversibly to allow its reproduction.
