On April 28, The White House will deliver a package to Congress requesting the elimination of $1.1 billion for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), a nonprofit corporation that supports 1,300 local public media stations across the country, as well as American Public Media. This action comes despite a Congressional vote in February that extended federal funding for the CPB through fiscal year 2027. This proposal would have a devastating impact on public media stations across the country and erode the services that you and so many others rely on. We are asking for your help in showing Congress how important public media is for our nation. Use your voice to oppose cuts to federal funding of public media by signing our petition and pledging your financial support to American Public Media now. I’m proud to share that American Public Media Group has partnered with Magellan AI to deliver cutting-edge digital audio attribution and audience insights to public media advertising. As Sounds Profitable noted in their newsletter yesterday, "a large perceived barrier to podcast advertising is the idea measurement and modelling is not ready yet". This collaboration is a significant step forward in providing transparent, data-informed campaigns marked by actionable insights and measurable business results. It empowers brands to connect more effectively with podcast audiences in a brand-safe public media environment, demonstrating not just reach but tangible ROI. And it aligns the trusted quality storytelling and journalism of public media with the expectations of a rapidly evolving advertising marketplace. A huge thank you to Cameron Hendrix and the team at Magellan AI as well as the team at APMG driving digital advertising transformation: Justin Hach, Michael Shore, Hari Hara Kumar, Josh Kubasta, Veronica Rodriguez, Peter Rasmussen, and George Teodorescu.
