An assassin is sent to kill a warlord. She's also a snake spirit. After she's injured and loses her memory, she's cared for by a tribe of snake killers. Love ensues. Enjoyed this more than I anticipated. The animation is stunning, especially the mountains covered in red leaved trees. There's an amazingly weird sequence in the middle with weird little guys that sticks with me. It's a respectable effort and I'm willing to give the sequel a shot as well. Amp Wong is my new favorite name of all time.

One of the most beautifully animated films I've ever seen. Great story and interesting characters. The action sequences are nicely balanced with scenes of calm and pure beauty, unlike it's disappointing sequel Green Snake. The only minor negative was the dog which was so cartoonish it looked weird and stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the semi-realism of the other animated elements. Overall, well worth watching.
