Goa only recently mounted its first Museum of Christian Art due to the initiative of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and with an active support of the Archdiocese of Goa. But what Goa needs too is a Museum of the Goa Inquisition to enable its thousands of Goan and non-Goan native victims to piece together their memories and fragmented histories. It cannot be and should not be the initiative of the Church, because it was a State institution of the pre-liberal times.
